Despite the chilling temperatures in Two Rivers Monday evening, Seniors Noah Shillcox and Derek Klinkner brought the heat to help the Raiders collect their first victory of the season over Valders. Shillcox collected 10 K’s, allowed 1 H, and 3 BB over 4 IP of work, earning him the win. Klinkner picked up where Shillcox left off recording 4 K’s, 2 BB, allowing 2 H over 3 IP of work, earning him the save.
The Raiders and Vikings both collected 3 hits each, but Two Rivers pitching and defense helped shut down the Vikings. The Raiders earned 8 BB, lead by Klinkner and Senior Logan Hansen with 2 each. Seniors Kole Klein and Sawyer Rohrer, along with Freshman Kellan Hansen both recorded a hit. Cousins Rohrer and Hansen both collected the only RBI’s for the Raiders on Rohrer’s 2 RBI single in the first and Hansen’s 4th inning RBI double.
