Bay Port’s JV2 team traveled down to Two Rivers on Thursday night to help maintain a JV game on senior night. The Raiders and Pirates battled back and forth as the teams were tied at 13 at the half. The raiders were able to pull away with gritty defense and great offensive possessions to win 32-23.

Freshman Brynley Van Wychen flourished on both sides of the court, scoring 20 points for the Raiders. Van Wychen was dominant in the paint with a handful of blocks and steals, and went 8/12 within 5 ft of the hoop. Freshman Peytynn Schramm led the defensive units with 5 steals on the night. Her tough defense led to several turnovers for the Pirates. Schramm also added 2 points from the charity stripe.

Other contributing Raiders include Paige Barbarossa with 4 points. Aleah Ostrom, Kristin Pennefeather, and Anna Anklam also put up 2 points on the night.
